CENTRE CO, Pa (WJAC) — Friday kicked off a new, week-long tourism promotion in Centre County that includes a series of events along one of the county's best-known roadways.  

“We’re launching this event, its new, the Route 45 getaway, coming to you this summer.”  

The Route 45 getaway stretches for 25 miles, from Milheim to Pine Grove Mills.  

In those communities, and in between, a full schedule of events and concerts for the next week, including restaurants, wineries, farm tours and elsewhere.
