The Mijangos Duo is a musical project featuring Jose Mijangos on keys and Alex Mijangos on bass.

Originally located in Chapas, the southernmost state of Mexico, the father and son of the Mijangos lineage join their creative forces once again to share the stage in the heart of central Pennsylvania. Jose Mijangos is a prominent musician, composer, songwriter and arranger with a great variety of original material in all musical styles. His virtuosic playing is one-of-a-kind, with rich harmonies and improvisation that invite all backgrounds for a night of vibrant, exciting music. According to Cuban-born Piano master Daniel Herrera, Alex Mijangos is a "young promise of international bass playing". A known member of the Jazz community in the State College area, the bass player is eager to play in this amazing venue again with a show you can't miss!
