The Shooting Stars are long-time Central PA residents and multi-instrumentalists Kurt Kroeker and Sam Spurrier. We enjoy filling our sets with bluegrass, gospel, old-time, and even a little western swing, and after 10+ years of playing and singing together, we’ve got quite a cache of songs from which to draw. Sam furnishes rich dobro and rock-solid rhythm guitar while Kurt adds a dash of high-lonesome fiddle, sparkling mandolin, and even a pinch of lead guitar. Our traditional, hand-crafted musical offerings can be heard at local farmer’s markets or the occasional special gig.
