Mt Nittany Winery
Winery and Vinyard
At Mount Nittany Vineyard and Winery, we are dedicated to crafting exceptional local wine from our mountainside location in the heart of central Pennsylvania. We take great pride in providing our guests with a fun and informative wine-tasting experience while they enjoy the ambiance of our beautiful setting.
The southern exposure and elevation of our vineyard provide a micro-climate conducive to grape growing – the south-facing exposure facilitating the growth and ripening of the grapes, and the altitude providing air flow which minimizes the potential for disease and early and late season frosts. The six varieties of grapes grown in our vineyard include Cayuga, Seyval Blanc, Riesling, Vidal Blanc, Itasca, and Muscat Valvin.
Mount Nittany Vineyard & Winery now produces 16,000 gallons of wine each year and harvests anywhere from 12 to 15 tons of grapes annually. It is owned and managed by Linda and Steve Weaver, daughter and son-in-law of founders, Joe and Betty Carroll.
EVENT
We are partnering with The Art Alliance of Central PA. Affiliated artists will be painting on site, as well as selling artwork.

Happy Valley Winery
Happy Valley Vineyard and Winery is a family owned and operated farm-based winery. The vineyard was established in 1999 and rapidly was expanded over a few years to the full 10 A that visitors see today. Most of the grape plants were established by the owners using their greenhouse before transplanting in the field. The tasting room was built to represent a barn like structure with post and beam construction in keeping with the farm theme and the 1855 bank barn that is still used today. A large patio outside the tasting room faces the vineyard providing a scenic view with Tussey Mountain visible above the vineyard. The quietness and beauty of the vineyard is only 3 miles from downtown State College, Sustainable practices are a major theme and includes solar panels that support the tasting room and winery buildings.
